Hajj

Technically, Hajj means to make pilgrimage to Makkah and the surrounding area, performing certain rituals in that places. Just as other acts of worship, in Hajj the soul, mind and body all participate in worshipping Allah. Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam as the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “Islam is built upon five pillars: testifying that there is no true god except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, performing prayer, paying the zakah, making the pilgrimage to the Sacred House (Hajj), and fasting the month of Ramadan.” (Al-Bukhari) Thus, Hajj is a duty incumbent on every Muslim, male or female, provided that they have the financial and physical ability to perform it at least once in a lifetime. Pilgrimage thereto is a duty men owe to Allah,- those who can afford the journey; but if any deny faith, Allah stands not in need of any of His creatures Download PDF

Recite Dua Kumayl for Seeking forgiveness. In Hadith, it is mentioned that Kumayl ibn Ziyad said, "I was sitting with my master Amir al-Mominin ‘Ali ibn Abu Talib (peace be upon him) in Masjid Kufa and a group of companions were also sitting with him. One of them asked him what the meaning of the verse 'Whereupon every wise command is made clear.' (Surah ad-Dukhan, Verse 4) The Imam (peace be upon him) replied, The meaning of this is the night of the 15th of Sha‘ban. I swear by the One who holds the life of ‘Ali in His hands there is not a single servant of Allah except that all the good and bad that will reach him in this year is divided up and handed out on the 15th of Sha‘ban and this good and bad will continue from the 15th of Sha‘ban until the next year on the same night. Eid Milad un Nabi

Before writing the arguments of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him), I want to clear the meaning of Milad according to literature and Shariah. The word Milad has been derived from "viladut" which means birth. Therefore, according to Arabic language, Milad is word which signifies the place and time of birth. In the light of Shariah, we means, Milad is to remember the events which took place at the birth time of the Holy Prophet (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him) and we get the opportunity of narrating the Seerat of the Prophet (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him) on this occasion, we also presents the Holy Prophet (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him) gifts of Durood -o- salam. We mention before the people attributes and praises of the Prophet (Allah's Grace & Peace be upon Him). Download PDF

Ashura

One of the bravest and most loyal men in the army of Imam Hussain in Karbala. Aabis was so old that he had to tie a piece of cloth around his forehead just to keep his eyebrows from falling on top of his eyes. He was Muslim Ibn Aqeel's messenger to Imam Hussain telling him that the people of Koofa had agreed to fight with Imam Hussain. His story is well known on the day of Ashoora, when nobody would dare to fight him. When Aabis realized that no one was going to come out to fight, he removed all his armour until a man cried to him: "Have you gone mad?". Aabis replied: "Yes, the love of Hussain has made me go mad". Finally, Omar Ibn Sa'ad shouted at his army saying: "What is the matter with you all, throw stones at him". Download PDF

Laylat al-Mi'raj

The last days of the Makkah phase in the Prophet's life were noted for alternate fortunes. However, glimpses of propitious lights were looming on the distant horizon, ultimately materialized in the event of the Prophet's Night Journey (Al-Israa') to Jerusalem and then Ascension (Al-Mi`raj) through the spheres of the heavens. The exact date of this great event is still controversial:  Some scholars, including Imam At-Tabari, are of the opinion that the Night Journey occurred in the same year the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) received the first revelation.Imams An-Nawawi and Al-Qurtubi prefer the opinion that it occurred five years after the Prophet's mission.  Another opinion sets Rajab 27, 10 years after the Prophet embarked on his great mission as the exact date of the event.
